"It's takes several days to over a week to get this doctor to answer questions or concerns. Even when the patient is in pain she blows it off. She is very nice at the appointments but it stops there. "

"Mrs. Harris works in pediatric neurology, which by definition her patients are children whose brains are not working right somehow. She apparently does not realize that sometimes this can lead to children making poor choices. That being said, my biggest issue is that during a recent visit she stated that she would fill out some legal forms that I needed. She stated that she would do it either that day or the next and get it back to me. A week later we were discharged from the practice over a child’s mistake. She now refuses to complete the paperwork claiming she can’t be objective. She recommended that our primary care doctor complete the paperwork. I explained that the forms were specific to her specialty of neurology, and it would be inappropriate and unethical to ask a primary care doctor to practice outside the scope of their practice. The response I got was that I could ask for a copy of my child’s medical records and have the lawyer read through it to find the answers. So now she thinks lawyers can interpret medical records and draw conclusions. She really must not have much respect for her own occupation or specialty if she believes that primary care doctors and lawyers could do the job just as well. Additionally, we were told to find another neurologist and she would only provide emergency care for 30 days. It is common knowledge that there are no neurologists that have openings in that short of a time frame and anything that would be considered an emergency she would send us to the emergency room anyway.
