Primary Care Doctors - Warrenton, MO

"Well, I have been going to Mercy for over 15 years even though they misdiagnosed my lupus. Pushed a drug to hard through an IV and irritated the vein walls ending up with 32 blood clots in one arm. I kept going and finally, I was referred to Dr. Grimes who originally was a Patients First Doctor but then he became compliant with Mercy's mishaps. On my last appointment, I have been waiting since May to get better. Finally after 3 times of seeing their terrible PA's I finally got an appointment. The morning of the appointment I was running late due to a terrible nose bleed I could not control. After driving from Wright City to Warrenton I tried to call the Marthasville office, I was on hold until I pulled into the Marthasville office parking lot. Finally, I get my nose to stop bleeding and get inside to see I was 10 minutes late. All the office staff was on the phone so I sat patiently, mind you there were others waiting in the waiting room. Finally, someone else walked in and I knew they would not be nice as I was being and just sit down as I did so I stood there with this other patient. When the HBIC finally bothered to come to the window she checked in the guy in front of me then looked at me and said you are over 15 minutes late I will have to reschedule you. I told her I was being polite and sat down while they were on the phone. The HBIC said I will have to see if they will take you. When she returned she said they would not. I'm sure she did not tell anyone that I had been waiting just being nice while they were on the phone because I don't want to hear about other people's med issues while I stand there. So I simply said being at my wits end this is the 4th trip to Mercy and no one could seem to figure out what was going on...still no blood work is done. But I simply said I have been waiting since May to see him if I don't see him I will just find another doctor. The nice gentlemen who was sitting in the waiting room came up and said I say you come in you can have my appointment much to the HBIC's horror. But I said that was okay, he said no he didn't want to wait anyway and the Warrenton office was closer to him but he won't go to anyone but Dr. Grimes those PAs don't know what they are doing. Then HBIC told him he could not give me his appointment and his appointment was not with Dr. Grimes anyway. This kind gentleman was now upset with the staff because he specifically set up the appointment with Dr. Grimes and they made the mistake. But then HBIC looked at me and said well, I guess I'll check you in but you are going to have to wait a long time. In less than 5 minutes they came to get me. Now I receive a letter saying Dr. Grimes will not longer see me as a patient... because I am disruptive to his staff and clinic. I almost fell out of my chair laughing. Maybe he should take a good look at his HBIC, she has issues. I didn't disrupt his staff, in fact, I was the polite one who just sat down and waited...maybe HBIC should step it back a notch when others in the waiting room trying to help me out because she was being so dreadful, to find out that his staff had messed up on that patient's appointment was not my fault. It isn't like if I would not have been there the patient would not figure out that he was not seeing Dr. Grimes. Who is or was a good diagnostic doctor but he is going to lose people if he does not get a grip on his staff's lack of professionalism or his. And to top it off when I did get back to Dr. Grime's he walked in referred me to a specialist for my face that had been swelling severly in the morning and would not even refill prescriptions, he told me to make another appointment for that. That's a great doctor for you!!"

"I am on blood thinners for life due to blood clot disorder. I was out of town and needed a refill and just saw her a few months before that. I was told she would not refill and to go to the ER. She talks only about herself and gripes about the system. She doesn’t care about her patients at all!!!"
