"I had to wait over two months for the appointment. I had to wait well over my appointment time for the office visit. Saw the doctor for around 5 minutes. He does have a great bedside manner. He told me I needed an MRI and that the pre-approval process usually takes 7-10 days. I called back after about 17 days and was told that he hadn't yet signed the pre-approval to be submitted but that it would be signed and submitted "in the next couple of days." I'm now 5 weeks out from the appointment and haven't heard a peep. So, now I get to pay a bill for essentially no treatment, and start all over with another doctor in another office where I hopefully won't just fall through the cracks."

"I entered the emergency entrance of Centerpoint Hospital here in, Independence, Mo, on the 27th Jan, 2023. I was suffering a massive gallbladder attack combined with severe Pancreatitis. I was told after I'd checked in that if I'd been two hours later checking in with them, I would have coded. I had no idea that my gallbladder and pancreas had been under severe inflammation for many years. I almost died. They set me up for surgery to remove my gallbladder. I was fortunate enough to get Dr. Shaan Akhtar. He did such a great job for me that now, two weeks after surgery, I'm feeling the best I've felt in a plethora of years! God bless this man for being the excellent surgeon that he is. If you hope to get someone who will not only do things right, but do them compassionately and perfectly, look no further. This man saved my life.....period! I'll be forever grateful that I had the fortunate experience of having him as my surgeon. Kudos to you, Dr. Akhtar! Thank you so much!!!"
