Primary Care Doctors - Independence, MO

"He kept rescheduling my appointments, which he was my primary for pain management as I have years of documented records, and when I told him and his staff that I was looking for a new doctor that would be in the office, not between 2-3 offices and too busy to handle his patients they red flagged my chart as doctor shopping and pharmacy shopping!!!! I wonder with all the jumping he has done if they have him listed as patient shopping! I think its time to hire an attorney now, as he has made it to where I cannot get care anywhere because he didn't have time to see me when I scheduled my appointments a month in advance and they would call and reschedule me the day before my appointment for weeks to another month out. He has been a waste of my time and energy and have never met a doctor who is wrapped around his Spanish patients and doesn't worry about the rest. The last time I seen him, I told him in his office that I had seen two other doctors, just as a meet and greet, one being too far away for me and another I just didn't like his bedside manner and he waited til I left his office to flag me and when I have called to discuss this with him, it isn't his problem. I am not a junkie so don't flag me as a junkie, I have been on and off pain meds for over 20 years as I am too young to have surgeries yet and medical records to back up my problems and now he has me flagged and I cannot get the help I need, and in the 20 years of on and off medications I HAVE NEVER HAD A A PROBLEM, I don't abuse them, I lock them up, I don't call in for early refills, and always have been fine on my Urine tests and also my pill counts.... good to see that doctors are out for themselves, and really don't care. He has me so upset and in pain, but that isn't his problem. I have and will continue to tell everyone I know, DO NOT USE HIM! "

"I have been see Dr Lori Baumgartner for a couple of years now. Shes really nice but 1) I hate having to drive to blue springs or Lee's summit to get labs. The office can only do urine tests. 2) Two times my pharmacy has requested a prescription refill They cancelled my prescription one time bec they thought i went to another pharmacy and another time bec they said i needed to see the dr for an annual visit. After calling them myself i found out the reason. I've never had a dr cancel my prescription before. 3) i came to her bec i had pinched nerve. I was in severe pain. I would go from one chair to the next bec it hurt to stand. I also wanted her to check on my right side of my stomach bec it seemed more swollen on one side. She was really concerned about my stomach and sent me to get a ct scan right away. However, she did nothing about the pinched nerve. I know she was concerned about my stomach pain and I should have been more assertive about the severe pain i was in. I think she might have told me i could take tylenol with the Meloxicam I was already taking. I found out on my own about exercises I could do for a pinched nerve. After dealing with it for 6 months or more, one day I realized the pinched nerve pain was gone"

"Dr. Ngar is compassionate with her patients and their families. Knowledge about what needs to be done for their health. Gives awesome advise to them all the time. She is one doctor I would tell all my family and friends to go to."
