Sports Medicine Doctors - Grand Rapids, MI

"I was referred to Dr. Mattson when she was at Michigan Medicine PM&R, as a resident. I had a lot of pain and numbness/tingling in my legs. She did a little examining but it seemed like she had instantly formed an opinion when she walked in the room, and concluded that I’m just fat. I mean, I’m no athlete, but what she was suggesting might have made more sense if I was much larger than I am. Turns out, I actually have a tumor severely compressing my spinal cord. Had she ordered any testing at all, as a specialist….. (In fact, she said I did NOT need an mri) she may have saved me months of neurological problems, falls, pain, inability to walk, because doctors also listen to each other. It seems she may come with some kind of bias or maybe just lacks experience, I’m not sure, but based on my experience, I would not recommend her. Glad she moved to another state. "
