"Terrible experience Rude Condescending Hardly even acknowledges patient "

"Dr Lubetsky has been my rheumy for more years than I can remember and while his quality of care given is excellant, I have always found him to be kind, caring and compassionate, which is rare to find to today's rush-rush world. One note -- as I have experienced with several other specialists, he does have a tendancy to concentrate so fully on what the patient (or their body) is telling him, that it can seem like he is "spacing out". He is not. He is totally focused on this particular patient and trying to find the best way to help them. My challenge is psoriatic arthritis, further complicated by being highly allergic to many of the drugs normally recommended. He has taken time and effort to check for alternatives that are safe to use. One thing I have learned from being in this health care system for over 25 years as a patient: for the most effective care, you must gather your specialists into a team with your primary physician. For me, that means primary, dermatologist and rheumytologist (and occasionally an orthopedist). My team works well together to help me remain as pain free as possible. I consider them to be my special friends and would not consider going to someone else. For effective care, a patient must have doctors they have faith in and can trust. Dr Lubetsky more than meets my personal criteria. I recommend him most highly, and I would not hesitate to take my adult daughter and almost adult grandaughter to him if they needed a rheumytologist.
