"I've been seeing Dr. Demos for treatment and follow up for melanoma. I have never been comfortable with his office -- other reviews are accurate on all counts. I'm changing doctors after the experience I had on my last visit. Dr. Demos hired his wife as practice nurse and she was "observing" visits on the day I was there. It was just creepy. Just felt super, super weird. And oh yeah, the melanoma he treated? He had told me he thought the spot on my face was nothing, and biopsied it just to give me piece of mind. It was cancer. I should have changed docs a long time ago."

"Dr. Horwich has been caring and effective in supporting and healing my family. I have had cystic acne for almost a year, and only when I saw Dr. Horwich did it start disappearing rapidly within a few months. He was quick to come up with a solution and manage my situation in a professional and supportive manner. It is almost entirely gone. The staff who attended and managed my care for Dr. Horwich is also pleasant and energetic. For my father's treatment, on the other hand, he was able to quickly diagnose basal cell carcinoma on my father's face and immediately tackled the issue. My father is now clear of any signs of this problem and was very pleased with how Dr. Horwich and the staff handled the situation. The office is clean and comfortable. We are grateful to Dr. Horwich and the staff of New England Dermatology and Laser Center for providing top-notch care with the greatest efficiency and consideration for the patients' comfort and physical needs. Cosmetic dermatology is the branch of dermatology that works to improve the appearance of the skin. This can include wrinkle reduction, liposuction, hair loss treatment, or the treatment of scars.
Dermatological Immunology is a subspecialty that deals specifically with immune related problems of the skin, such as eczema or lupus.
Pediatric dermatologists treat newborns and children with skin disorders. They also provide help to families with inherited skin problems.
Mohs surgeons are specialized dermatologists who can remove skin cancers using a microsurgery known as Mohs technique, where slides of the tissue are examined as they are removed. This is a very exact surgery with an extremely high cure rate.

The skin is extremely important: it covers and protects everything in the body. A dermatologist helps keep it healthy, as well as looking and feeling good.
