Family Medicine practitioners - Georgetown, KY

"On Jan 2, 2024 as I walked into work my lower right leg felt like it just exploded. Major pain right away. I continued into work as it was just for 4 hrs that night. By Jan 4th the pain was just too much and I went to a nearby urgent treatment center where I was advised to take ibuprofen and put my leg up for 3 days with a Dr note. I went back into work on Jan 7th again just for my scheduled 4 hrs but my leg was still hurting just as much. So on Jan 8th I called my company and requested a 2 week leave of absence from work which requires dr documentation. I then called my primary dr's office and the earliest I could be seen was Jan 15 with a nurse practitioner, Dr. Crump. I was stupid and made the appointment with her bc I am in so much pain I needed to be seen as soon as possible. I saw this dr on Jan 15th and explained to her what had happened and that I had leave of absence paperwork that needed to be completed as a result. She never once indicated to me that this would be a problem only that she would find the documents for me. She ordered x-rays and I left the dr's office going straight to the office for x-rays and had them taken. The x-rays came back normal so then she ordered a ultrasound. The ultrasound people and nurses were absolutely fantastic. They recognized how much pain I was in and squeezed me in on Jan 24th. The ultrasounds also came back as normal, no blood clots detected. By then it had also came to my attention that my company had not received the dr documention they needed. So on the 25th I contacted my dr's office. Dr. Crump was off that day but the clinical coordinator was able to look at my account and inform me that Dr. Crump's response was that she had not written me off from work and would not complete that paperwork. The clinical coordinator called me back the next day and informed me that Dr. Crump would not fill not that paperwork and since nothing had been found on the x-rays or ultrasound that she would refer me to a pain management clinic if I would like. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH MY LEG!! I am not looking for pain pills I want to find out what is wrong with my leg. And for her to not tell me she would not fill out that paperwork while I was in her office and wait like this she could cost me not only my job but more importantly my medical insurance. I have been a chronic pain patient that does not take pain medication for 8 years now so my medical insurance is a must have. I was at the Central Baptist Emergency Room within the hour. I now have a referal for an MRI that I needed from Dr. Crump. If Dr. Crump cares so little about her patients then she should consider another profession and this is not someone that needs to be employed by or associated with the wonderful people at Baptist Health.
