"The doctor I'd been seeing for the last 16 years retired, so I was quite nervous about seeing a new PCP in a new network. I found Dr. Varnum on the Aetna website and decided to give her a try. The Aetna facility in Lenexa was very clean and calm. Nurse Claudia was very personable and professional. Dr. Varnum scored big points right off the bat by showing up in her "Chiefs" shirt under her medical coat. (It was the day after the Superbowl.) Dr. Varnum struck me as confident without being overbearing, knowledgeable and empathetic. She asked a fair amount of questions and actually listened to my answers. She also asked me more than once if I had any questions or concerns not already covered. I was very happy with my experience and will gladly return for my next appointment minus any apprehensions as to the quality of care I will receive. "
