"I had very serious Spinal Stenosis, Degenerative Disc Disease and Lumbar Spondylosis and experiencing severe pain in my low back and down both legs. The pain increased over the past few years despite physical therapy and numerous steroid injections (at a different medical center). After reviewing my MRI, Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Thomas Loumeau gave me a thorough examination and a patient friendly explanation of my condition and his recommendation for surgery. Dr. Loumeau and his team at Bone and Joint Institute of South Georgia (BJISG) performed open decompression surgery on the two major areas of concern. It was a day surgery procedure and I was discharged mid-afternoon. The staff at BSISG is outstanding. The reception staff, pre-op nurses, anesthesiologist Dr. Maxwell Donnan, the surgical team and post-op personnel are pleasant, professional and accommodating. I’ve had numerous orthopedic surgeries to compare this to and this was the best experience of them all and so far the smoothest recovery. Dr. Loumeau is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon with a comforting, pleasant bedside manner. I highly recommend Dr. Loumeau and the staff at BJISG. "
