"After being a patient for many years, I got a call from the office, a few days before an appointment that had been scheduled for months. I was told that I would have to give a blanket consent to a blood transfusion, in case of an emergency. I said that I need to think about it. I was told to call back before my appointment, which I did. When I called back, I told them that I will NOT consent to it, but they told me to come in for my appointment and talk to Bills about it (instructions provided to the staff by Bills), so I did. There is no talking about it; it is a requirement of Bills. I should have been told this over the phone, but he so inconsiderately had me to come in, wasting my time. I would never recommend Bills or any office that would require a forced blanket consent for a procedure that should be considered on a case-by-case basis. It really shows that Bills has a dunk-the-herd mentality and puts his self-interests over any of his patient's welfare or situation."
