Worked with me to address my concerns and offered several minimally invasive procedures since I did not want a large surgery for my back pain. He even drew out diagrams to better answer my questions. "I can't understand the other reviews listed here. I became a patient of Dr. Steve Stoev in Feb. 2018, after several years with another medical provider. Yes, Dr Steve is very thorough and orders a lot of tests. And thank goodness. Because one of them revealed that I had Stage 3A Non Small Cell Lung Cancer! The other provider I had used for almost 5 years gave me lots of blood tests and never once caught the NSCLC. Had it been caught earlier (or if I had switched to Dr. Steve earlier), maybe I wouldn't be in the frightening situation I now find myself. Bedside manner? Dr Steve couldn't have been more empathetic or concerned about how I was feeling. His office staff was equally concerned and tried to make things as easy for me as possible by making my appointments for me with the specialists I needed to see or providing reports that I needed to have. I just don't understand these other reviews. I can't say they are wrong or just nasty because I wasn't seeing this doctor at the time they are dated. But as far as I'm concerned, Dr. Steve and his staff are absolutely the best in my book!"

"Went in for a scheduled appointment. Filled out all the paperwork. Office Manager (Indian or something) refused to let me see the doctor - even after I had signed agreement to pay - because my insurance card didn't show the doctor as primary care physician. Phoned provider and let her talk to the insurance company. She still would not let me see the doctor until she had a fax in hand. Fax didn't arrive promptly, so she told me I could not be seen."

"Bigby has a very passive-aggressive style. At my initial visit, I thought I found a great physician. Then at my subsequent visits the claws started coming out. She misdiagnosed a minor GI issue and then became defensive and abbrasive throughout the remainder of the visit. Office staff warm and friendly!"

"I am so impressed with Dr Blume! there are not many docs like him any longer. Most herd you in and out like cattle, they know nothing about you. Not Dr Blume! it does not matter how long he is with you, he makes sure he go's over everything! he answers all your questions, he researches what is BEST FOR YOU, not what is most convenient for him. He actually listens to you. Dr Blume is what being a doctor is all about! You may have to wait longer in the waiting room to see him, because he does not push his patients thru a revolving door, however rest assured he cares and does what is best for you. THANK YOU DR BLUME AND STAFF!"

"WOW! I have never been so insulted by a doctor and her nurse in all my life! Nurse very disrespectful and mouthy. I got called dumb and stupid because I did not agree with the doctors plan for me. She would not allow me to voice my opinion or have any say, and paid no attention to my concerns about her plan. Doctor Johnson would not even consider lifestyle /plant based foods and exercise. She based her entire decision on a 4 year old history, prescribed 3 different kinds of meds right away, one which was potassium. I am on a plant based diet and everything I eat has potassium in it. Too much potassium in the blood is called hyperkalemia and can be very dangerous. She refused to go over the blood test that she ordered, which was two weeks after she ordered the meds. And when I asked for the blood tests, her mouthy nurse asked me if I could read the tests. 12 times in two visits I told both doctor Johnson and her nurse that I was no longer taking supplements ( but she was only looking at the 4 year history, and paid no attention to what I kept telling her) Both the doctor and the nurse made very unkind remarks about my hearing loss. I am deaf, not dumb. And she made remarks about my using a transcriber on my phone. My feelings about this doctor: A close minded doctor, such as Dr. Johnson, is a dangerous doctor. "

"Being new to the Sarasota area, I needed to find a primary care physician, so that if I were to become sick, I would have options. I picked Dr. Havlovic mostly because of availability. However, I have come to LOVE her and the Intercoastal Medical Group. She is very pragmatic, which works well with my personality - ideas and suggestions for my mostly-mechanical issues. I’ve seen an orthopedist in the group (who I love as well), and she has referred me for other treatments. The three times I’ve been to the office, I haven’t waited more than 10 minutes to get in a room and 10 minutes after that for the doctor, which in my opinion, is much more efficient than my previous care provider. I am able to make appointments easily, and I appreciate the website used for communicating with Dr. Havlovic and accessing my records. Very very satisfied and highly recommend."

"I saw Dr. Thomas as a new patient. She prescribed 2 medication wothout a full exam or bloodwork. She was a drug pusher. I told her i dodnt want the medications and she and her office staff were rude and disrespectful. Awful experience. "
