Orthopedists - Plantation, FL

"Dr. Simon treated my parent in the hospital and in several follow-up visits. She refused to return phone calls about a concern we had, even though these calls were being made by medical professionals who were not making idle complaints, and the only response we received was to take our parent (who was at that point in a nursing facility) to an ER (this was definitely NOT a problem that warranted an ER visit in the middle of the Omicron surge). We were also told she would call us back, which she never did. She then had the nerve to tell us during an in-person visit to call her any time we had questions. The office staff was awful. After the 1st out-patient visit, we were given a return visit date, which the staff then never entered into their schedule. The staff also informed us at the end of the day, before the 2nd out-patient visit, that Dr. Simon was not a participating doctor on my parent's plan and would have to pay out-of-pocket for X-rays and a higher co-pay. They had no good explanation as to why we were not informed of this earlier, and at that point, having waited 1 month for this visit, it was not an safe option to just cancel the visit and find a new doctor. Even the insurance company (which still has her listed as being an in-network provider) had a hard time explaining this and still lists her as in-plan. -"

"Dr. Cardoso is a very caring doctor. He has done an excellent job of giving me my life back. My trigger finger was very painful and I could not use the hand. He said we can fix that, and he did. He listens to you he has a great bedside manner. I really can’t say enough about his great service. "

"Dr. Shenassa evaluated me for surgery and then performed it about a year later when I decided it was time. The problem is the office staff. They are incompetent."
