"It is a great disappointment witnessing dr practice defensive medicine. Dr, scared ?of lawyers, possible legal action in his mind. He chooses to doubt his own eyes, and, over believing patient’s history. Instead, Dr offered taking sample, sending to the lab to confirm patient history, and, his own eyes (or, maybe because he’s young lacking experience). In turn, requiring a second visit. Second co-pay to insurance, additional 2 hours in his office + travel time. I could have the needed treatment done in one visit; one co-pay of $45; 4 -5 hours including travel time. Total waste of resources, time, and effort. I simply refuse to contribute to this failing, unproductive, wasteful, spending within our healthcare system. I will not visit nor recommend any one whose practice is based on defensive medicine. Medicine is NOT an exact science. There’s absolutely not, 100% assurance in anything, that a nail infected by fungus, removed, will return not ingrown or have issues. Anyone in their right mind knows this. I even offered to sign a release form, since he was so concerned. He consulted with his Senior practitioner who said it is their practice policy. Nothing else to be said after this, but I realized, a complete waste of time this day. Time to move forward; call the insurance; get another provider. Simple. Just as reference, know, this practice, will only believe in practicing defensive medicine. That means, as a patient, your word, is not valid, unless, the lab results show, for example, as in my case, that my toenail, had a fungus infection. Incurring in extra costs, time, efforts, to the patience (it’s no concern to the practice). I took the time to write this review. To be fair, accurate, not harsh, nor upset. Currently, 2 weeks after, I did have the procedure done, by another insurance provider, done within 1 visit. Healing well. Thank you. "
