" I went to Citrus Orthopedic and Joint Institute to obtain a PT script after my primary sent them the recommendation. I was told I needed to see one of the doctors there before the script would be written. Hirsh was recommended for my particular issues. I'd already seen my orthopedic surgeon in NY 2 months prior, so didn't need a diagnosis - the only thing I made the appointment for was to get the script. I provided paperwork, xrays, reports, and dr notes as requested several days before the appointment. But once there, Dr. Hirsh came at me with raised voice, belittling me - asking what I was there for, waving the xrays I provided in the air, saying he couldn't help me, and kept asking me what I wanted. I was stunned into silence and if not for the PT script I would have walked out. I would not recommend this doctor. He completely failed me in his clinic's posted first responsibility to a patient, being "A patient has the right to be treated with courtesy and respect, with appreciation of his or her individual dignity." Thank goodness my husband was there with me to witness it and speak up. I have never been so disrespected and mistreated by a doctor in my 70 years. I will get my professional medical treatment elsewhere."

What is Orthopedic Surgery?
