"Absolute worst doctor ever. I was seen by other doctors and in the hospital and came with test results in hand, and a referral list of further tests needing to be done. He flat out refused further testing and accused me of googling my own symptoms - basically saying I'm making it all up. He accused me of my timeline of events being different than what I verbally said and what my evidence in hand provided, which was well documented in person with dated test results from other doctors/hospitals as well as a doctors personal phone referral. Tell me, how does one make up test results from their blood, urinalysis, ekg and chest x-ray? I wasn't aware I was an x-men with the ability to alter my own genetic material and body using my mind. This guy was a complete sham and total jerk the entire appointment. When I asked what to do about my pain he said "nothing". He has NO answers and can only accuse patients. What kind of a doctor is this?! Such a disgrace. A formal complaint has been filed with the Florida Medical Board. Oh, and I waited over an hour to see him for about 8 minutes max, and most of that time he was being accusatory and wouldn't even listen to me or review any tests brought."

What is Internal Medicine (Adult Medicine)?

Internal medicine doctors, also referred to as internists, are primary care physicians who treat diseases in adults. They are qualified to treat a wide range of conditions affecting the organs, such as the kidneys, liver, heart, and lungs. Internists can provide both inpatient and outpatient care. Some internists see patients in rehabilitation centers, long-term care facilities, and other medical settings while some other internists referred to as "hospitalists" operate in hospitals, where they may monitor and evaluate patients' conditions.

Internal medicine includes preventive care, such as blood pressure and cholesterol screenings. Internists may treat a patient over a duration of years, which can be beneficial for patients with chronic conditions or recurring disorders. After diagnosing a condition, internists assess if they may treat the patient themselves, or if the condition warrants a referral to a specialist. With additional training, it is also possible for internists to specialize in a more focused area of internal medicine. Internists do not typically perform surgery. Internists can collaborate with many other specialist physicians, including oncologists, neurologists, and cardiologists.
