Obstetricians and Gynecologists - Bradenton, FL

"I started seeing Dr. Socas when she first opened her own office about four years ago (maybe five). She was very hands-on and despite dealing with a budding medical office, seemed very efficient. In recent years the office efficiency has declined. The check-in/out staff doesn't pay attention to what they're doing. Last year I almost left the office with another patient's visit details that included ALL of her personal info! I caught it as I was leaving and turned it in so they could print out mine. Sloppy! This yea, the intake person handed me a clipboard to update my information for this year, and it had someone else's completed form on the clipboard instead of a blank form for me! One of her PAs who I usually see, left her office. A script this PA wrote for me last year has expired so my pharmacy had to call for a renewal script. They called FIVE times in two days , but never received a call back. They asked me to contact her office. It's a Monday; no holiday, etc. I called and the call went immediately into VM. I called at 11:30 am, well before typical lunch break and again at 2:15 pm. Again the call rolled into VM. In the last year Dr. Socas has extended her services to include Inmode Radiofrequency Treatments (for the vaginal and rectum areas), Morpheus Fractional Treatments (collagen stimulating procedure for face and body), and Spa massages. These procedures are not covered by insurance. My feeling is that Dr. Socas (who performs these treatments except massage) is stretched too thin and not paying attention to what is happening in the office. I will begin looking for another GYN before my next annual check up next year."

I looked up where she received her medical degree in Mexico and where she did her residency in The Bahamas, and am not surprised by the level of incompetence this doctor possesses. "
