This institution, which is supposed to be a beacon of hope and healing for children, has failed miserably in its duty to provide competent and compassionate care. It is unacceptable that we had to constantly advocate for basic necessities such as timely medication administration and proper hygiene practices. Furthermore, the overall culture at Children’s National Hospital is toxic and detrimental to the health and well-being of both patients and their families. There is a pervasive sense of apathy and neglect that permeates every aspect of the organization, making it clear that patient care is not a top priority. As a parent, it is my duty to ensure that other families are aware of the deplorable conditions and substandard care they may encounter at Children’s National Hospital. No child or family should ever have to endure the level of incompetence and neglect that we experienced. I urge you to take immediate and decisive action to address the systemic issues within your organization and restore the trust and confidence of the community you serve. Failure to do so will only further erode the reputation of Children’s National Hospital and put more innocent lives at risk."
