"I went to see Robert Emmett FitzGibbons, who proceeded to ignore every single thing I said, condescend, invalidate, minimize, and eventually he flatly denied me treatment, which will lead to much more suffering, as it’ll be another week or two to see someone else, and after waiting weeks to see him I am fatigued from constant pain and suffering with no relief. He freely admitted that I might need a surgery immediately before refusing to give me any treatment whatsoever. If you read Andrea Novell and James Filbin’s Google reviews of Robert Emmett FitzGibbons at the Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies - Longmont page, you will see a pattern with this “Dr.”, going back several years (see also: other medical review sites) - if you check Robert Emmett FitzGibbons' (DR.0032724) medical license through Colorado's DORA, you will see that he had a medical malpractice case settled against him in Colorado. "He made my condition go from bad to worse. I was able to walk without pain before surgery. Now I walk with severe pain and ball of foot locking up. He turned away from me when I tried to show him how my foot locks up and where it hurts the most. Can't get answers to simple questions. Forced to go elsewhere to fix the damage done. "

"This was my second visit with Dr. Johnson for treatment of trigger finger symptoms. She had recommended that I avoid surgery and try a steroid injection instead. The first treatment in June of 2022 lasted about 12 months and this is the second (& last) and may have cured the problem. I appreciate her recommending the non-surgical approach first with the option for surgery should I need it in the future. Dr. Johnson is professional, personable, direct in her feedback and recommendations. "

"I was scheduled to have my 2 wisdom teeth removed today 8/16/23. I have medicade, I was told by David Whiting and his office at comfort dental that they accepted medicade. I called medicade and asked if I was covered for "conscious sedation" which David's office was trying to charge me to pay out of pocket for over $200. I was told by medicade that I am 100% covered for this type of sedation as well as the entire bill for my surgery. I told the billing lady at comfort dental to please bill my insurance as I was not going to pay out of pocket for something I am covered by. I took two days off of work to get this surgery done. I was told that they cannot perform my surgery until my bill was paid. I called medicade again and they told me that the dentist office was in the wrong. David Whiting told me he would not perform my scheduled surgery due to me not paying this bill. I told him to send the bill ot medicade, which takes months for them to pay. However kept telling me they do not pay for the "conscious sedation" which they 100% DO PAY for. I am now out of money from taking 2 days off work, only to find out I need to choose another dentist who isn't illegally charging patients for procedures that are covered by insurance. David W was also over 45 mins late today, August 16th ,2023. There were at least 3 patients before me scheduled for 8am surgeries to remove wisdom teeth and they had to be sedated too. They were brought back before my appt at 8:30am. David was not at the office on time as I was unable to speak to him because he was "running late". So, on top of this office trying to illegally collect payment that I did not have to pay, they were putting patients under anesthesia while the doctor wasn't even present in the office. If my surgery would have gone through, they were not getting started until an hour after my scheduled appointment. This man needs to lose his license for stealing patients money and not billing insurance. As well as making patients wait over an hour while under anesthesia and not being present for surgeries he scheduled. Here is my claim ref that his office sent to medicade which will 100% show that my insurance was covering the ENTIRE bill and that David telling me I had to pay out of pocket in order to get my surgery was complete FRAUD. "

Numerous reviews at Google and elsewhere indicate he is an uncaring and arrogant person, who regularly dismisses the concerns of his patients. There are lots of better doctors in Colorado who DO NOT have a malpractice settlement on file against them."
