"Dr. Holmes has been my family and my physician for almost 40 years in Susanville. We have always been able to see him when we needed to in a timely fashion according to our issues. Sometimes in the same day or a couple of days later depending on the issue. He always returned calls the same day. He always addressed me professionally, honestly and to the point about sickness or injuries. He always referred me if needed to different specialists or hospitals. He gave prescriptions if needed and always followed up. He charted every detail and always remembered my past visits. He delivered my kids and grandkids. Dr. Holmes kept our family healthy. After Dr. Holmes retired I feel like we were thrown to the wolves! it’s been a circus trying to get and keep a doctor. The doctors coming to Susanville seem to be temporary, they don’t have a problem stating that they don’t like it in Susanville, bide their time and leave. Appointments made with these others take a couple of months, they can cancel and re schedule at the drop of a hat. Our options are go to the clinic or ER….?? Susanville lost the best Doctor they ever had! "
