"I took my daughter in to find out if she had a bacterial or viral infection. Dr. Coulson did not perform any throat culture or other test to validate the illness. He spent maybe 5 minutes telling us that an over-the-counter medicine would be most appropriate to treat the symptoms. He even suggested that we come back if her symptoms continue to get worse. The diagnosis: he stated it was a virus. The result: she has strep throat which is a bacterial infection that should be treated with antibiotics. I will never schedule another appointment with this facility or provider ever again. Disgusting. Bottom line, he should have performed a throat culture to make sure that what she had was viral. Terrible service provider."

"If I could give NEGATIVE stars, I would. This is a doctor that does NOT listen to you EVER. She prescribes medications and dosages based on her comfort level, not what you have been previously receiving over years and years from Specialists in their field (even with those past medical records as reference). Her reasoning is: "I do not feel comfortable with that." Or she changes dosages in the middle of refill cycles because again, she "does not feel comfortable with that." You receive calls from other specialists to set up appointments based on her referral that she did not discuss with her. But she lets you know or gives "comfort level" responses within the Portal, which is after the fact. The only way you know that those dosages have changed is when you pick them up at the pharmacy or you receive them via mail order (which is too late). If you are super clear within an office visit that you want to use Mail Order for recurring prescriptions, she still does NOT follow your request. If you remind her and her staff of that, they still do NOT correct their error. The cost savings using mail order is significant and it is like she DOESN'T CARE. But if you go into the office, she is just so much "more understanding," and then changes her mind when sending in prescriptions to the pharmacy. If you question her in the Portal and express concerns that you are not comfortable with her and her decisions that she makes outside of the office, she sends a FedEx overnight letter firing you as a patient (which is after you have already established with another physician). Such an inconsiderate, unprofessional, inexperienced physician whom decides patient care without considering the patient and their past experiences. I CANNOT recommend her at all, which is sad because I want to raise up female practitioners."

"Welcome to Sutter Health in Scott's Valley and their All Star Cast.  We've been all over the world as well as different locations in the US but this is hands down the best medical care!!  Angels in disguise... My husband and I recently joined Sutter Health and Dr. Fowler became our Primary Care Physician - we are so happy happy happy.  Before I met with Dr. Fowler, I met a nurse in this office who was so kind and friendly I felt like I’d known her my whole life. ( Thank God, Thank God, Amen Hallelujah! ) He and the rest of the staff at the Palo Alto Medical Center in Scott's Valley are so kind, helpful pleasant …. most importantly knowledgeable.  They really make us feel comfortable and confident that they really care about our health and well-being.  Like we are family! ( Big smile! ) Unfortunately he fixed all my problems so I don’t have an excuse to go see him again right now. :) Btw he looks much younger and more handsome in person… I guess he’s just not photogenic.:) Not like me ~ haha. "

"Worst Doctor I have ever seen and one of the worst people I have ever had the chance to meet. Doesn't believe medicare patients should have any rights or choices in their care or even to a second opinion. Poor people do what they are told or they do not get any help. Infantile listening skills that consist of repeating one "fact" back to the patient and refusing to listen to anything else because he has already repeated something to you to "prove" he is listened. He kept repeating that he hears me that my life has sucked for 30 years. I corrected him twice and he continued to shut me up every time I had something to say by repeating loudly "I hear that your life has sucked for 30 years" I was under a two year plan that was supposed to include surgery. I moved & changed my entire life to do it right. I had multiple neurosurgeons review the options and tried everything else. I was scheduled with Dr Santillano by the clinic while my coverage transferred for a single visit because my regular doctor moved at about the same time. He insisted I completely change everything, cancel surgery, change medication and just take a bunch of pain medication for the rest of my life. In 10 minutes he overruled both neurosurgeons & every doctor I had ever seen from Virginia Mason in Seattle to Stanford. He thinks he's that good but he isn't and that makes him dangerous. You can't have incompetent, angry doctors moved down the food chain until their victims are too weak to fend for themselves. I don't care if some school sold him a degree or how much debt he incurred. It's not the responsibility of the weak to bail people like him out. His crusade to preserve government funds by denying care is completely illegal and unethical. Avoid him at almost any cost. Report him if you are a victim. Doctors like this need to be fixed or removed. They cannot be put at facilities for the poor or allowed to harm people who are unable to defend themselves. "
