"I want to Dr. Tsai for what I thought was just a wart on my thumb. I told Dr. Tsai it had not responded to freezing on two prior occasions, which should have been a huge tip-off that it was not, in fact, a wart. Rather than doing a biopsy, which would have shown that the growth was non-cancerous and did not need to be removed, Dr. Tsai chose to surgically remove it, even though that meant cutting close to the bone and putting my thumb (on my dominant hand) in a splint for a month. I had told him I needed to use my thumb for work. The doctor cleared me to go back to work with a giant hole in my thumb and, of course, it got massively infected. Thankfully, Dr. Tsai was on vacation when it happened and Dr. Dellamaggioria (who is wonderful) had to step in and remove the dead tissue and fix it up. Later I asked Dr. Tsai to at least waive my co-pays because I had missed so much work as the result of his missing the diagnosis. "How am I supposed to do that?" he asked. He didn't care and couldn't be bothered. "You said it was a wart," he told me, as if the patient is supposed to make the diagnosis. I found Dr. Tsai uninformed, unprofessional and totally unconcerned about his patients' well-being. I cannot recommend him at all."
