Pediatric Psychiatrists - Mesa, AZ

" I recently enrolled in care under a new 'psychiatrist' after moving to a new city and no longer able to receive care from my previous doctor of 13 years. I suffer from severe panic disorder, with a long documented history of hospitalizations for acute panic attacks, as well as family history of fatal panic attacks/suicides. I have been treated successfully with the same medications for the last 13 years without any incidents. Upon moving, and enrolling with new psychiatrist, I disclosed my needs and after several months of waiting (without medications), I was scheduled for my first appointment. It has now been several more months (without medication) since the appointment, and the physician in question has completely neglected to treat the panic disorder, despite my deteriorating condition, recent hospitalization and loss of drivers license due to the severity and increasing frequency of the panic attacks with loss of consciousness and hospitalizations in the last two months. I am a patient with zero history of substance abuse, and a long and well documented psychiatric transcript. I have suffered from untreated panic disorder for the last five months now since enrolling, and would have been able to receive care and treatment months ago, and avoided unnecessary suffering and other damages had I enrolled with a legitimate psychiatrist elsewhere. "

"This psychiatrist wreaked havoc at the Santa Barbara Veteran's Administration Clinic. According to him, he served 700 patients but according to the experience that my husband and I had with him and his reputation at the clinic, is that he was mentally abusive, insisting on diagnoses and interventions that were at best not supportive of his patients' needs and desires and at worst, superimposing his will on them to their detriment. I wrote a narrative, several pages in length documenting our experience. On that basis, he left the Santa Barbara VA. After his departure, we found out that numerous veterans had been distraught over their treatment by him."
