"My husband went to establish himself with Dr.Maciejewski and his assistant Lindsay (on the phone) was fabulous and so kind and went the extra mile. Sadly, my husband was unimpressed with him as a doc. My husband went in to talk about getting him on a plan to get him healthy with his diabetes and because his meds weren't working (he is new to diabetes). The doc didn't really seem interested in helping him get off meds and threw some samples at him and wrote a prescription for them. they were $500!!! For one month! Pills! They were going to cost $500-$1000. We called back and said that these new name brand drugs weren't an options and to please prescribe something else. Metformin doesn't work for everyone and we just needed the next option. We have called and called and CALLED for a couple weeks. I have talked with assistants and nurses, I have left messages and can't get anyone to call us back. I even told him he was out of his meds and needed at least metformin then again... but NOPE. Nothing. We don't really like his office, he didn't love the Doc, and I have been disgusted with how lackadaisical they have been with my husbands health."

What is Dermatology?

Dermatopathology deals with the identification of skin diseases. Dermatopathologists diagnose skin problems, usually by taking scrapings of skin and examining them under a microscope.
Cosmetic dermatology is the branch of dermatology that works to improve the appearance of the skin. This can include wrinkle reduction, liposuction, hair loss treatment, or the treatment of scars.
Dermatological Immunology is a subspecialty that deals specifically with immune related problems of the skin, such as eczema or lupus.
Pediatric dermatologists treat newborns and children with skin disorders. They also provide help to families with inherited skin problems.
Mohs surgeons are specialized dermatologists who can remove skin cancers using a microsurgery known as Mohs technique, where slides of the tissue are examined as they are removed. This is a very exact surgery with an extremely high cure rate.

The skin is extremely important: it covers and protects everything in the body. A dermatologist helps keep it healthy, as well as looking and feeling good.
