Here's an interesting finding: according to a recently published study, the probability that a patient got referred to another physician almost doubled from 1999 to 2009. Our self-serving question is: how many of those patients are considering their options for which specialist to see?

For a while, we've had a feature to save search results to a short list. The purpose of that list was so that users can note which profiles were of interest and go back and visit them. However, that list was not permanent and would disappear after a while.

We've replaced that list functionality with an addressbook. Users who are signed in can now associate profiles with their accounts. Those associations are available when users log back in. To help organize the list, users can separate the profile listings into different groups (e.g. "John's doctors" or "Specialists").
