"Patient of Dr Robert Sullivan Huntersville NC. Have epidural injections 1 to yrs apart for lower back pain. Had approx 20 injections. Went in in March 2015 to have one. Within a couple days the pain returned but was much worse than before. Called office and they stated I should come in for another one. So I did a couple weeks later. So I had 2 within a month. Got billed for both injections. Had of pocket I was responsible for over$1300. I don't feel I should have to pay for the first injection. Called his office to speak with him and the nurse stated he will not speak to patients. And she stated he is not responsible for the charges and he could not do anything about it. Billing office stated the nurse was wrong and not taking responsibility for the charges. The nurse stated my body just did not accept the first injection. But how do they know that? How do they know the reason for the failure was due to the one injecting. Or that maybe the mess were not strong enough? Could have been hundreds of reasons why it was his failure. As stated I have had approx 20 of these injections and this is the first time this has happened. But the biggest issue is his failure to call a patient. They stated that's all he would be doing if he called all his patients. That tells me there are issues with this doctor if he has that many patients wanting to speak with him. And I actually really liked dr Sullivan. But no longer will I see him nor will I make any payments for this procdure. I will take my business some place that is not so concerned with money and more concerned with the actual patient. And the staff members need to have an attitude adjustment. Spoke to a nurse, April or something close to that name, and she had the worst attitude. I have dealt with her in the office and she has no personality at all. That is not the type of person that needs to be in this field."
